We’re looking to gather feedback on journey planners used by customers to help improve our current journey planner on the Travel South Yorkshire website.

This survey will provide us with reliable, usable data to inform our business decisions when delivering any improvement to our current Journey Planner solution.

What we're doing:

We’ve redesigned the information posters available at tram stops throughout the Supertram network. These posters provide stop-specific timetable and route information, general information about how to use the tram, and space for disruption and engineering notices.

What we're trying to achieve:

• We’ve refreshed the design to use the new Supertram branding
• The overall layout has been updated to visually separate general Supertram information from stop-specific route and timetable information. This is intended to make the poster easier to read and use. It also provides more space for us to update and provide information in the event of disruption or engineering works.
• The network map now uses larger text and is redesigned in a vertical layout. For consistency, the direction of travel will always be ‘down’ the map. There are also more facilities highlighted such as cycle parking, electric vehicle charging, and nearby parks and green spaces.
• We’re trialling the introduction of platform letters to simplify wayfinding and navigation. This should make it easier for us to explain to customers which platform they need to be at for their desired service.

Where you can see the new design:

The updated poster design can be viewed at all tram stops across the Supertram network. Please note that due to network improvement works, some stops temporarily have additional posters overlaid on parts of the standard design.

What we're doing:

We’re working on improvements to the information provided at bus departure stands at our Interchanges. These posters provide specific information about the bus services which depart that stand, such as the timetable and route.

What we're trying to achieve:

• An overall refresh of the design to be more modern and consistent with other posters
• Provide more visible information about which stand you’re at with a new/larger stand number
• Display more information about how customers can access disruption information
• Providing easy access to live departure information webpages

Type A is the standard poster design used at the majority of our Interchanges.

Type B is the poster design used at Doncaster and Rotherham Interchanges, as these locations have larger poster cases.

• At most bus departure stands at Barnsley and Rotherham Interchanges

What we're doing:

We’ve designed a new South Yorkshire Rail Network Diagram. This is intended to replace the previous poster which had separate rail and tram network diagrams with a unified design which shows connections across both tram and train in South Yorkshire.

What we're trying to achieve:

• We’ve integrated regional and intercity train routes in South Yorkshire with Supertram routes, showing where there are interchange connections between tram and train
• Cycle parking references have been added to stations and tram stops
• Accessible toilet references have been added to stations
• The new design uses a vertical non-geographic layout to help make it easier to follow routes across the diagram and see interchange connections
• Not all tram stops are displayed - we've prioritised those with major nearby destinations or facilities such as park and ride

• Sheffield Interchange (stands E5 and E6)
• Sheffield Station (near the bottom of the stairs in the main concourse, and on Platform 1)

What we're doing:

We’ve refreshed the design of our Departure Stand Finder posters. These posters are displayed in our main Interchanges to help you find the right stand for your bus service. They also feature a map of the Interchange to help you locate other facilities.

What we're trying to achieve:

• Colours are used to help differentiate bus stands, coach stands, and rail replacement service stands
• Shapes, colours and shading differentiate information in the table to make it easier to find information
• The journey time column has been replaced by a service frequency column
• We've redesigned the Interchange maps, with 3D buildings, brighter colours and improved detail for walking and cycling

We’re providing more information about our Park and Ride sites by launching new webpages, making it easier for customers to find the information they need.

What we're trying to achieve:

• Make it easier for customers to use Travel South Yorkshire Park and Ride sites by providing more information about the facilities and spaces available
• Improve information availability for nearby transport connections
• Provide more detailed information about the cycle parking facilities to support cycling and active travel
• Provide a way to view the terms and conditions of use on our website
