Essential resurfacing work to take place in Meadowhall and Sheffield

Essential resurfacing work at Meadowhall and Sheffield interchanges will start from Friday 18 August 2023.
Resurfacing both interchanges will improve the safety and ride quality for bus passengers and minimise the need for maintenance and repair.

The interchanges will remain operational during the work, which will be completed in phases to minimise disruption to customers and operators.

Buses will use alternative stands and pick up points when their usual allocated stand is closed.
Some pedestrian crossings will be closed during the works and customers are advised to follow the pedestrian diversion routes, use the designated crossing points, and avoid entering the works areas.

Posters and maps are available throughout the interchanges to help customers find their way around and locate the alternative temporary stands.

As part of the work at Meadowhall Interchange, some overnight coach services will be relocated to a temporary stop on Meadowhall Road, near the Interchange’s vehicle exit road.

In addition, taxis will drop off and pick up at Meadowhall Park and Ride.

Details and progress of the work can be found on two dedicated project pages on the Travel SouthYorkshire website: Meadowhall Works and Sheffield Works.
