Swinton Yarnbombing

An oasis of knitted flowers, rainbows and bunting welcomed passengers to Swinton over the summer of 2021.

Sheila and her ‘crafty ladies’ came together to create this colourful display along the platform fencing to encourage feelings of community, positivity and hope. It explored themes of mental health and the everyday pressures shared by many which it was hoped would help reduce any stigma and encourage people to start conversations on this important area.
