Effective from Monday 29th September 2025, until further notice:

Service X1 will divert via Wickersley Road and Broom Road, not serving Middle Lane South or Badsley Moor Lane, during the above times.

Service 114 will continue to serve stops on Middle Lane South near Spenser Road and Longfellow Drive.

As soon as suitable tree pruning can safely be completed by RMBC, service X1 will resume along the normal route.

Tram Train services will divert to Meadowhall Interchange. The last service to Parkgate will depart Cathedral at 17:00, and the last service to Cathedral will depart Parkgate at 17:31. 

Supertram replacement bus service TT1 is timetabled to connect to tram services at Meadowhall South and will serve Rotherham Central and Parkgate.

Yellow Route will operate Meadowhall to Cathedral and Vvce versa.
After 8pm Weekdays and all day Sunday the Yellow route will extend to/from Shalesmoor

Blue Route will operate Halfway to Shalesmoor and vice  versa.

Service M44 will divert through Frecheville along Linley Lane, Alport Road, Youlgreave Drive, Linley Lane, Birley Moor Road and Silkstone Road.

Service M45 will divert through Frecheville along Silkstone Road, Birley Moor Road, Linley Lane, Youlgreave Drive, Alport Road and Linley Lane.

Services 18 and 18a towards Sheffield will divert via Holywell Road and Jenkin Road in both directions

Service X1 towards Maltby and X2 towards Maltby/Doncaster will divert via Meadowhall Road, Meadowhall Way, Meadowhall Drive, Weedon Street & Brightside Lane in both directions.

Services 24, 25 & 95 towards Woodhouse/Rotherham diverted via Park Square roundabout, Duke Street, Bernard Street & Cricket Inn Road.

City bound journeys normal route

Service 271 will operate as per 272 route directly up and down Ecclesall Road to/from City Centre

Service 785 will divert via Hunters Bar, Ecclesall Road, Rustlings Road, Outbrook Road, Riverdale Road and Endcliffe Vale Road (786 route) in both directions.

Still awaiting info regarding services 6, 10 and 10a.

Service 20 outbound to divert via Deerlands Avenue (serving the Asda stop), u turn at Chaucer Road roundabout, Deerlands Avenue, Wordsworth Avenue, Monteney Road and Monteney Crescent.

Service 20 inbound to divert via High Street, Wordsworth Avenue, Deerlands Avenue, u turn at Chaucer Road roundabout and Deerlands Avenue (serving the stop opposite Asda).

Service 57 and 57a will run to Coal Pit lane as normal to its junction with Spink Hall Lane then Divert via Spink Hall Lane then normal route from Shay House Lane.

Services 18 & 18a diverted via Upper Albert Road / Lees Hall Avenue, Warminster Road, Thorpe House Avenue, Thorpe House loop, Thorpe House Avenue, Warminster Road, Norton Lees Lane & upper section of Derbyshire Lane in both directions. 

Service 20 diverted via Chesterfield Road, Scarsdale Road, Norton Lees Lane & Warminster Road in both directions.

Hillsborough Stadium - Sheffield Wednesday Home Games

When Leppings Lane (only) closes:
Services 18, 31, 97 & 98 TOWARDS Hillsborough Interchange will divert along Penistone Road, then turn right along Bradfield Rd to Hillsborough Corner.
Services FROM Hillsborough Interchange will turn left onto Langsett Rd, left down Bamforth St, then left along Penistone Rd.

Additionally due to parked cars on Donovan Road, Service 98 will operate via the 97 route for the duration of a game

Bramall Lane Stadium -Sheffield United Home Games

Bramall Lane will close for a substantial period. Shoreham Street will also close sporadically between Alderson Road & Charlotte Road Roundabout.
Services 11, 18 & MAN4 will divert via Queens Road, Charlotte Road, Shoreham Street & St Mary's Road in both directions.
Service 252 will divert via Queens Road, Granville Square and St. Mary's Road in both directions.

TO GET THERE:
Shoreham Street: Services 1, 11, 24, 25 & 51.
Queens Road: Services 70/70a.

Note: If Shoreham Street is closed, then 1, 11, 18, 24, 41, 51, 252 & MAN4 services will all divert via Queens Road, Granville Square & St Mary's Road in both directions.

Every Barnsley FC Home Game

Schwabisch Gmund Way gets closed for Barnsley FC home games.

Service 2 will divert via Harborough Hill and Eldon Street North in both directions during the times stated above on match days.

Services 27b, 28 and 32, although not diverted, these will be subject to delay along Pontefract Road near Oakwell Stadium.

Several roads in the vicinity of the Football Ground are also subject to Traffic Restriction Orders before and after each game.

New York Stadium -Rotherham United Home Games

When Main Street closes:

Services 73, 95 & X3 from Rotherham will re-divert via Bridge Street, Centenary Way & Ickles roundabout (73 & 95 services then Sheffield Road, Old Sheffield Road & Canklow Road). To Rotherham unaffected.

Services 137 and 138 towards Rotherham will turn left on Centenary Way, College Road Roundabout, then Bridge Street.
FROM Rotherham will divert via Chantry Bridge, Greasbrough Road & Centenary Way, then U turn back to Masbrough Street.

TO GET THERE:
Approx 5-10 min walk from Rotherham Interchange via Corporation Street and Main Street
Approx 5-10 walk from Rotherham Central, side of Canal, past Poolice station then onto Main Street

Hillsborough Stadium

Service 86 - This diversion will be in place 1 hour before kick off until 30 minutes after full time. It will be on normal route either side of this.

Towards Low Edges
The service will follow the route as normal to the bottom of Fox Hill Crescent. After that it will turn left up Fox Hill Road and then right onto Wilcox Road. It will carry on to the lights where it will turn right onto Halifax Road, back on normal route.

Towards Chapeltown
Instead of turning left onto Fox Hill Road, the service will follow Halifax Road to the traffic lights (junction with Wilcox Road). At that point it will turn left onto Wilcox Road. At the end of Wilcox Road the service will turn right onto Fox Hill Road and follow the normal 86 route to Low Edges until it reaches the bottom of Fox Hill Crescent. 
It will then turn left onto Fox Hill Road, then finally right onto Wilcox Road - back on normal line of route.

Services 8 & 8a to Birley/Crystal Peaks diverted High Street, left onto Yew Lane, left onto Morrall Road & Monteney Road.
Services 8 & 8a to Ecclesfield unaffected. 
Service 20 to Hemsworth diverted via the full length of Yew Lane & right onto High Street.
Service 20 to Ecclesfield service is unaffected.

Services 18 and 18a to divert via Thorpe House loop, Norton Lees Lane, Norton Lees Road, Derbyshire Lane, Chesterfield Road, Meadowhead roundabout, Bochum Parkway and Norton Avenue (without serving Norton Lane or Hemsworth Road) in both directions.

Service 20 outbound to operate normal route to the top of Warminster Road then terminate. 

Service 20 inbound to commence service from Warminster Road, turn right onto Hemsworth Road / Derbyshire Lane, right onto Norton Lees Lane and left onto Norton Lees Road. 

We are unable to serve Hemsworth during these times.

Service 782 diverted using double deck vehicles via Foster Way, Greengate Lane (to the shops), Worrall Road / School Road, Blackburn Drive, Burncross Road & Bracken Hill in both directions.

Services 18 and 18a diverted via Warminster Road, Thorpe House Avenue & the Thorpe House loop in both directions.

No stops affected. But will use Thorpe House Ave stop first on the Loop

Services to divert via King Georges Road (Reverse of the 356 service) then normal route

First Service 272 will terminate, wait point time & commence inbound service at Bamford Station bus turning circle.

First Unable to serve Bradwell, Hope or Castleton during these times.

High Peak Services 271 and 272 - Awaiting Information.

Services 93, 96 and 96a to divert along Rowland Road, Huddersfield Road and Wilthorpe Road in both directions.

Services 52A to divert via Hallowmoor Road, right onto Wisewood Avenue, left onto Wisewood Road & left onto Hallowmoor Moor to terminate / commence inbound service. Unable to serve Loxley at this time.

Customers for Loxley Please change at Hillsborough Interchange to use Services 61 (to Loxley) or 62 (From Loxley)

Outbound services  20, 56, 75, 75a, 76, 76a, 76e, 88 and 97 and 98 to divert via Fitzwilliam Gate / Cumberland Street, Eyre Street, Bramall Lane roundabout, St Marys Gate and London Road.

Inbound services  20, 56, 75, 75a, 76, 76a, 76e, 88 and 97 and 98 to divert via London Road, St Marys Gate, Ecclesall Road roundabout, Moore Street and Fitzwilliam Gate / Cumberland Street.

Service 207 towards Sheffield to divert via Bawtry Road to the roundabout and then 5th Exit on to Sheffield Road.

Service 207 toward Rotherham Normal Route

Service 384 and 384a to run normal route to Barnby Dun then divert via Armthorpe Lane, Dunsville High Street and Broadway to resume normal route at the end of Broadway towards Thorne.  

Service to divert in both directions

Services 387 and 387a to run normal to the end of Broadway then divert via Station Road, Epworth Road, Thorne Road and Hatfield Road before resuming normal route at Thorne Park Gates.

Services to divert in both directions.

Services 371,372 and 472
Services are to operate via Trafford Way, Cleveland Street right into St Sepulchre Gate West resuming route when turning left onto St James’s Bridge.

Unable to serve the bus stop behind the Health Centre

Services 216 and 218 to divert via Warren Vale – Wentworth Road (Omitting Celandine Rise) in both directions.

Services 387 and 388 are to operate directly along Marshland Road, Turn Right Grange Road (opposite Premier) and Left Northgate to resume normal route. 

Morning Services that start on Wembley Road will need to wait time on Marshland Road (By the Library) before diverting as above.

Due to overnight roadworks, Whittington Moor will be closed during the above times.

Diversion:
All services that normally use Whittington Moor will be diverted via the A61 in both directions.

Your alternative bus stop is Lockoford Lane in both directions.
