  • Northern Railway Industrial Action on 24th and 26th May 2018

  • 11/05/2018 16:20:31 Posted:

Industrial action is taking place on Thursday 24th and Saturday 26th May and is likely to cause significant disruption to rail services provided by operator Northern.

Most Northern services are not expected to run.

It is expected that alternative rail routes, as well as buses, trams and roads in South Yorkshire will be busier than usual on the days of the strike as passengers alter journey plans. Journey times are expected to be longer, particularly in the morning and evening peaks.

    Changes to services

Northern will run revised services on Thursday 24th and Saturday 26th May. Timetables for Northern trains that will be running during industrial action, and the latest information about replacement buses, can be found on Northern’s dedicated website

Northern will publish up-to-date train running information on the day of the strike on their Journey Check page.
