Ticket prices for bus, tram and train passengers in South Yorkshire have been slashed by up to 25% this Summer.
The eight week Summer Sale applies to all adult TravelMaster tickets, including multi-mode 1-Day, 7-Day, 28-Day and Annual Tickets, and the brand new Flexi5.
Delivered in partnership by TravelMaster and the Mayoral Combined Authority, the significant discount hopes to bring people back to town and city centres by public transport, to support recovery from Covid-19.
Where can I buy the discounted tickets?
The tickets are automatically discounted and are available from all the usual TravelMaster retail channels, no discount or promotional code is needed to access the reduced price.
This means you can still buy a ticket on vehicle, at a ticket vending machine in interchanges, online via the TravelMaster website or from a Payzone outlet. However, tickets won’t be available from rail stations.
Young people can get a double discount with 25% off adult TravelMaster ticket prices on top of the 15% off available to 18-22 card holders.
The 25% discount does not apply to GetAbout tickets.
Summer Sale ticket prices are available from 2 August to 27 September 2021.
I've had problems buying a discounted TravelMaster ticket from a ticket machine - who can help?
If you bought a TravelMaster ticket from a ticket machine at one of our interchanges and think you have not received a summer sale price on your ticket we will refund the difference in price to you.
If you paid by card: we will refund the difference in price automatically to the payment card used to buy the ticket. This could take up to ten working days to reach your account.
If you paid by cash: please go to the Customer Service desk in the interchange you made the purchase from, this can be the next time you renew your ticket if it saves you a trip there.
If you don't have your receipt as proof of purchase: Don't worry, just bring your smartcard to the interchange and let the Customer Service Advisor know which ticket you bought, which ticket machine you used and day/time you bought the ticket.
