Proposed Bus Service Changes - from January 2020

First South Yorkshire and Stagecoach Yorkshire are proposing to make changes to some of their commercial bus services in South Yorkshire from the weekend of Sunday 26 January 2020.

What's changing?

First

First launched its consultation on 23 October and is currently asking customers to comment on its proposals for changes to some services. 

You can take part in First’s consultation and review the proposals on First's website.

You have until Friday 15 November 2019 to tell them what you think of the proposals.

Stagecoach

Stagecoach is currently asking customers for comments on its proposals to change some services in Chesterfield, Eckington and Sheffield. You can find the proposed changes on Stagecoach's website.   

Stagecoach’s consultation has been running since 7 October and you have until Friday 1 November 2019 to tell them what you think of the proposals.

Stagecoach is also proposing the following changes to services in Barnsley.

• Service 6 (Barnsley-Worsbrough Dale) – frequency reduction from 5 buses per hour to 4 buses per hour
• Service 57 (Barnsley-Royston) – frequency reduction from 6 buses per hour to 4 buses per hour
• Service 59 (Barnsley–Royston–Wakefield) – frequency reduction from 6 buses per hour to 4 buses per hour
