Last updated: 24 December 10:12 - added note that last bus and tram times on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve are available on our service change page
Travelling over the festive period will look a bit different this year, remember to follow the Gov.uk Coronavirus guidance to help you travel safely.
Please be prepared for the fact that journeys may be busier and take longer than usual over the Christmas period. In some cases, last departures will be earlier than usual, or there will be limited or no service.
On Christmas Day (25 December) you can travel between tiers if necessary to meet with your Christmas bubble. Please be aware that no public transport services will run on Christmas Day.
You should consider carefully the risks of travelling at all. You can find information on Christmas bubbles and travel on the Gov.uk website.
However you choose to travel, you should plan your journey carefully, book ahead, consider quieter routes and check for disruption before you leave to help keep everyone safe when travelling for Christmas. If you travel to an area in another Tier or to another UK nation, you should follow local restrictions at your location, stay local and avoid unnecessary travel within the area for the Christmas period.
Due to technical issues at National Traveline we've been unable to update our Journey Planner with the last Christmas Eve bus and tram services. You can find this information on our service change page. We apologise for any inconvenience, if you need help with journey plans you can tweet our team @TSYalerts or call them on 01709 515151 (local rate)
