Barnsley Mi Card
For details of this scheme please contact Barnsley Council on 01226 775656 or visit the website at www.barnsley.gov.uk/micard.
From August 2012, young people up to the age of 18 who live in Barnsley will no longer be entitled to free bus travel within the borough. Under the new arrangements, there will now be a 30 pence fare for every bus journey you make within Barnsley or between Barnsley and the rest of South Yorkshire. However, time restrictions that previously applied to the use of the card have now been lifted, which means that the card can be used at any time and every day, including weekends. Please see the Barnsley Council website for more details.
Remember
To carry your pass with you at all times when travelling on public transport, even when you’re with an adult or in school uniform. If you don't have your pass, you'll have to pay the full fare.
