You can use a timetable to tell you:
- When the bus should arrive at your stop
- How long it should take to get to the end of the journey
- How often the bus runs
- Whether the bus runs at different times on different days
Here is an example of a section of a timetable:
To read a timetable you need to:
- Read down the side of the timetable to see the main stops that the bus goes to. This will show you the order in which the bus arrives at its stops.
- Look along the row next to each of the stops printed on the timetable. Each stop has times listed to show when the bus arrives at that stop.
- By reading down the timetable and using your maths skills you can find out how long the bus takes to get from one stop to another, as well as how long it takes to complete the route.
