We've only got one planet, so we all need to look after it!
You've probably heard of things like global warming, carbon emissions and pollution. They can change the world around us - causing changes to weather, which can damage the environment around people and animals.
Being taken everywhere in your parent’s car might seem easy, but have a think about the bigger picture;
- You can’t exercise sitting in a car.
- The car is releasing carbon into the air which is polluting the environment.
- The engine is using up valuable resources that won’t last forever.
- Sometimes parents listen to rubbish music…
So how you travel, to school and to other places, can help make a difference. When you walk or cycle, you're putting less pollution into the environment. Compared to travelling by car, you're creating less pollution by getting the bus, or tram, or train.
